I will be reading this book with you. I have gotten to Chapter 4,thus far.I have had several girlfriends tell me it's a MUST READ-so far I have been both entertained and given some sound advice from a man's P.O.V.

I recommend this book, relationship humor that ladies can relate to... funny however, as a lady with class and confidence, it is more of a reminder vs. tool.

La La its a great book but I believe its more for the younger crowd who need help in becomin better woman. It does really tell you thing u shouldn't already kno. Being that your in an awsome relationship already I don't think you'll really benifit from it. But if ur really really bord then ill say its something 2 laugh atfor sure.

I think this is a really good (and easy) read. As with everything we are exposed to in life you take from it what you need and apply it to your everyday or not so everyday practices. It was a reminder that though i can take care of myself; why not allow my ready, willing, able and capable man to care of me if for nothing else than to reassure him i need and want him in my life.
Harvey has his own code of standards that work for him and his wife and i may not agree with everything, but the majority of his "lessons" were on point and i was able to gain quite a bit of insight into the rationality of men (as we all know how communicative and vocal they are not) it was great to hear/read a mans thought process from a man.

I would definitely encourage any women to read this book. I bought it while taking a trip back to Atlanta from Boston. I spent the entire flight reading it and I must say he had some interesting points. I was done in less than 23 hours with it.

yes i have read his book..i dont normally read books much..but this one i had to get..this book is such an inspiration to all the single ladies..he pointed out a few good things though..there's one thing in his book that i abide by today and thats the "90 day rule"..just like he said in the book..if a job will put you on a 90 day probation..why can't you put a man on one too..fierce..love the book..i hope you will too

I feel like it does offer alot for women, married, single and divorced. I think it gives women a look inside of a man's brain. Im single and loving it. But this book help me put somethings and certain people in my life in perspective. Shortly after reading it I was able to kick a guy to the curb, cause I figured out in the book he was treating me like a "throwback." Once you read the book you will get what that means. Besides its an easy read. It took me only two days to read the whole book. Hope you get the chance to read it!

This book is fabulous! It is extremely informative and I recommend EVERY female should read this. As I get older I have noticed more and more how so many woman are in disfunctional relationships because they are not with a man that appreciates them or even knows the value of a woman. This book teaches women to respect themselves and to stop looking so desperate because they are desperate for love! I loved loved LOVED this book and hope every female gets a clue and realizes they deserve healthy relationships but won't achieve one until they start respecting themselves as an individual. Lala you will LOVE this book and want to read it over and over again. No matter if you're in a relationship or not, every woman can bennefit from this book. It's so simple yet SO informative! I read it!! I've also read He's Just Not That Into You and the other likes. Steve gives you a black male perspective (at least in my opinion). He's forthcoming and honest and dishes all the secrets...lol. Question: Why are you reading??? You have a man! :-p

You should also read Why Men Love Bitches. Please don't be afraid of the title. Its by Sherry Argov.

I read the book and it was just ok to me...I expected a lot more. He touched on a lot of great points but then I felt like other things weren't from my era. I guess he wrote based on his experience and his past relationships.

I have the book, it's a good book with some good information in it. Some of the things steve discuss, I have to disagree with, for example: He states when you start dating a guy, you should introduce your children right away, I totally disagree, I'm a single mother of a daughter 10 years old, I dont let men come to my home or introduce my daughter, until I'm sure that this may go some where, even if its not a forever relationship, if it 's going to last a year or more, then i introduce my children, because if you introduce your children to every man, that doesnt look good as a mother, you are not promised that this man will be in your life for a long time, suppose it last for a month, then you meet someone else and that last two months, that means you done introduce two men in three months, that's not cool. But other than that he had some great points.

I liked it. The only thing I didn't like was him suggesting you introduce your kids to the guy as soon as you meet them, that I didn't agree with. But other than that it was good.

I read it and that book is THA TRUTH! I was late for work because I couldn't stop reading a missed my train stop not once but twice. Read it Lala and u will love it too!

I read the book. My brother bought it for me. It is a good read. Alot of what Steve is talking about is what we hear from family members or our girlfriends. It's a good book if you need to be reminded of how to "act like a lady". lol.... He touches on some things that were new to me because they were from a man's perspective. After you read it, you'll realize that most of it is common sense advice. it's just sometimes we don't always think using common sense, and instead tend to 'go with the flow". This book is good for a woman who is ready to settle down and get some tips on how to find that man that will want to eventually marry her. i wouldn't recommend it for women who are still partying around and casually dating.

This was a REALLY good read. Very practical and sound advice from the male perspective. I think its a book that all women should read and share and discuss with other women friends in their life.

The book is GREAT! And on target for women on the dating scene. He gives tips on how to question a man while dating him to see where his head is as far as a long term relationship. He gives great advice on your current relationships and shares his personal life experience with his relationships as well(good or bad ). Steve is a man and he's gifted with the insight of how men think and if you're the one he will settle down with long term or short term (sex buddy).

Yes I read it and it was a very good book. I just think women dont need to look at this and other relationship books and the end all be all of nabbing a man. Each situation is unique and these books should only be a reflecting tool to put your own situation into perspective. I wrote about the book on my blog when I read it a while back.

I just finished the book a few months ago and its really good.He's giving some really sound advice and backs up what he is saying. Its like putting us ladies up on game.letting us know that we have the power to dtermined how a relationship will play out if we do things right up front. Its a very good book and I recommend it to all of the ladies! :)

The book is excellent! If you are hip to the fella mentality, you won't be suprised but it will confirm everything you thought you knew. LoL!! You will constantly shake your head in agreement while reading it. So get to it, and realize why we RuLe the nation! Smiles

Thankfully the sweet Lord put a wonderful man into my life as he's done for you,, but you know, we had those days and times, where we didn't know enough of who we were because we were letting our boyfriend dictate what was going to go down, This book is useful for single ladies on how to think like a strong woman and being happy in an existing relationship and not always wanting a definition of it... just kickin back and enjoying the ride... YOUR SON IS gorgeous... GOD SPEED

It was definetely a good read and a helpful reminder. I think all women especially young girls need to grab this book. Me and my homegirls had drinks and conversations about each topic!

Karrine Steffans new one is a little graphic but it still is a great read! And any book by Miasha Coleman is always a two thumbs up

love Steve Harvey. really good book and its fun to read because its almost like Steve Harvey is talking directly to you. he writes like he talks which i love. i think it makes the book more personal. some of the things he talked about didnt really apply to me (at least not right now!) but it was still an interesting book. ENJOY it. and it looks like you and Carmelo had some fun in St Lucia. did baby go with you or was it a romantic getaway...? love you two together!

For fiction, you should read The Buzz: When celebrity gossip goes wrong....by Stefanie Newell. The book is hilariously funny, full of drama, and follows the life of a girl who hates celebrity and sets out to ruin the career of an up and coming singer.

I'm reading the book now and its a great book. You learn things that you need to know about men and how they think.

Hey Lala, OMG this is a great book. Steve really did his thing on this book. In no way is it a man bashing book, but it really opens your eyes to what you already know about me, that you like to pretend you dont. It help me let go of a guy I was with for over 10yrs because he was not stepping up and showing me that he wanted to be with me. You should start a daily blog about what you have read and see what others have to say.

Reading this book put "men" in perspective for me.
Steve Harvey is so honest and doesn't just tell us what we want to hear...they need to peddle this book to young girls in middle school. The underlying message is to: raise your standards ladies and men will inevitably have to follow. :)

The Book is Really Good. My sister was and I was in Wal-Mart and we seen the book and looked through it and read a little bit. We couldn't resist, we had to get it. Thanks to Steve Harvey I know how most men think.

Sooo...This book is definitely a must read! My best and I were sitting on the phone for literally hours analyzing this book from head to toe...of course by the time we got off the phone it was 3 in the morning and our ears and hands were burning from entertaining that hot ass cell phone we had been holding up for hours...but when I tell you it was well worth it...I speak no lies! Im in college, which means my friends and I are surrounded by the most trifling men on earth...especially in ATL...its a trip. But this book gave me so much insight into the mind of a man...and after reading it I felt so much more knowledgeable about what to do. Now I am officially one step ahead of everything my booskies do...all thanks to good ol Mr. Harvey. Im not suggesting...but telling you to read this! So go on girl! Read that thang! lol

I read the book a little while ago. I really enjoyed it.
Some may say it's all common sense, but I found it made a lot of sense and I think it's a must read for women, in a somewhat troublesome relationship, or those who just really do not know their own worth.
