Don't believe that Alani "LaLa" Vazquez is out of sight and out of mind, because she's busy making her own power moves. The former "TRL" cohost is concentrating on her film career as a burgeoning actress and producer.
LaLa has teamed with 51 Minds Entertainment, the production crew behind VH1's guilty pleasure programming such as "I Love New York" and "Flavor of Love" to produce "The Sixth Man." The cable network's basketball-themed reality show will bring together aspiring ballers to cohabitate and compete for a chance to go pro domestically or internationally with the help of a sports agent. The show is expected to hit the tube sometime next year.
"People always say the best basketball players aren't in the leagues," explains LaLa, who will serve as the show's executive producer. "So we set out to go to small towns and different cities to find these men who have different circumstances that might have prevented them from pursuing a basketball career."

Such a great idea, dorn and raised in Boston,Mattapan i can remember most of my fun times was at the basketball courts, and or watching all the And1 players on ESPN, it really is true that some of the best players in the sport, u wont see on primetime t.v. Every neighborhood has a Kobe,Lebron,Carmelo, even Jordan, but they might not have the oppurtunity and or outlets, that pro-ballers have recieved... there are different circumstances for alot of athletes, and i cant wait untill this show comes out, cause the game is missing the next Earl "goat".... (true basketball fans know who the GOAT is) and yes im a female....who know what she talkin about
As a female ball player I think this is a great idea. I definitely have seen many great ballers at local parks who have the potential to play on a professional level but unfortunately do not have the connection to get there. Good luck with this project and I can't wait to see the show.

I cant wait to see this! I have a friend who is dedicated to basketball like you wouldnt believe and his dream is the nba. How could he go about being on the show?
I like this idea. I'm a lover of the sport and I've seen a lot of males and females who let their talents go to waist because they haven't had the same opportunities as other gifted athletes. PROPS TO THIS!
I wonder, have you ever though about having your own reality show about you and your life at home
The show sounds like an awesome idea. I'm sure you guys will have a pretty good following. My question to you is whose been doing you hair, love the looks. Do they have a site?
